The MAX4570CAI+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a serially controlled, dual 4x2, click-less audio/video analog cross point switch in a 28 pin SSOP package. The device contains two identical cross point switch arrays, each with four inputs and two outputs. To improve off-isolation use the additional cross point inputs SA and SB as shunts. Each output is selectively programmable for click less or regular mode operation. A set of internal resistive voltage dividers supplies DC bias for each output when using AC coupled inputs. The MAX4570 uses a 3-wire SPI™/QSPI™ or MICROWIRE™ compatible serial interface. Ideally used at set-top boxes, PC multimedia boards, high-end audio systems, and video conferencing systems.

  • Single supply range from 2.7V to 5.5V, dual ±2.7V to ±5.5V supply
  • Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
  • Selectable soft-switching mode for clickless audio operation
  • 43ohm typical on-resistance (±5V supplies), 4ohm typical on-resistance flatness
  • 5ohm typical on-resistance matching between channels
  • 0.014% total harmonic distortion with 1Kohm load
  • Off-isolation is -110dB at 20KHz, -78dB at 4MHz, crosstalk is -95dB at 20KHz, -54dB at 4MHz
  • Four auxiliary outputs that extend µP ports
